A quiet agreement,
written with care
Before we begin composing your voyage, there are a few truths we must share plainly — the mutual promises, the gentle boundaries, and the small print that protects us both. We have written them the way we write everything: thoughtfully, and without hurry.
Everything we ask
of one another
These terms are written in the same spirit as our journeys — honest, human, and free of small tricks. Please read them slowly. Should anything feel unclear, a curator will gladly explain.
01 · The Journey Begins
Our agreement begins the moment you confirm your reservation and pay the 25% deposit. Until then, everything we have discussed is a warm invitation, not a binding promise. Once confirmed, both of us are held to the words written here.
The deposit allows us to begin quietly securing private guides, family-run lodges, permits, and seasonal windows that cannot be replaced. The remaining balance is due 60 days before departure. For journeys confirmed within 60 days, the full amount is settled on confirmation.
All quotations are issued in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR). We accept secure bank transfers, Visa, Mastercard, Amex, and select digital wallets. Corporate and family offices may arrange multi-currency settlement directly with their curator.
02 · If Plans Change
We understand that life sometimes shifts. Date changes made more than 90 days before departure are accommodated without penalty wherever partners allow. Cancellations are handled with care: the specifics are outlined transparently in your proposal, never buried in small print.
Yes, in most cases, provided the new traveller accepts these terms and any third-party suppliers (airlines, private guides, lodges) permit the change. A modest administration fee may apply to cover re-issuance of documents.
Occasionally, a lodge closes for restoration, or a road washes out during monsoon. If a material change becomes necessary, we will offer an equally considered alternative or a full refund. Minor adjustments — a different guide, a reordered day — are part of the texture of travel and never a cause for concern.
03 · On the Ground
You must hold a passport valid for at least six months beyond your return, and secure all necessary visas and health documents. Our curators will gladly advise, but the responsibility — and the final check — remains with you. A missed document is not a matter we can quietly fix at the airport.
We ask only that you travel as a guest, not a spectator — with respect for local customs, wildlife, sacred sites, and the people who host you. Conduct that endangers others or the places we visit may result in the quiet conclusion of your journey, without refund.
Your belongings remain your own throughout the journey. We take care in every arrangement, but we cannot be held responsible for items lost, mislaid, or stolen in transit. Comprehensive travel insurance is the elegant safeguard we recommend to every traveller.
04 · Beyond Our Reach
Monsoons, volcanic ash, pandemics, and quiet political shifts belong to no itinerary. Where such events prevent performance, we will work with you to reschedule or offer travel credits where suppliers allow. Refunds, where they occur, follow the terms of the partners involved.
We act as a careful intermediary between you and the many hands who make your journey — lodges, guides, air carriers. Our liability for any incident is limited to the amount you have paid us for the affected arrangements, except where the law forbids such limits.
Warmly, yes — with care. Certain expeditions are gentler or gentler-paced than others, and we will always advise honestly. Please share any medical, dietary, or mobility concerns during our first conversation, so that your journey may be composed with the right tenderness.
