Small traces,
quietly kept
Every time you visit, a few tiny notes are left behind — never your name, never a shadow that follows you home. This is what we place on your device, why we place it, and how you may sweep it all away with a single gesture.
Everything we place,
and everything you may erase
Below are the answers our travellers most often ask about cookies and small traces — written plainly, without fog, and free of the small print that hides things.
01 · What a Cookie Is
A cookie is a small text file — no larger than a sentence — that a website leaves on your device so it may recognise you the next time you visit. It carries no name, no passport, no photograph. It is a polite memory, nothing more.
Yes — quietly, we also use things called local storage and session storage. They behave much like cookies but live entirely within your own browser. We mention them here so that nothing about your visit remains unexplained.
No. A cookie never holds your name, your passport number, or your payment details. At most it holds a short anonymous code that lets our website remember you chose English, or that you prefer prices in MYR.
02 · The Small Ledger
Four quiet kinds. Essential — required for the site to open, and never optional. Preference — remembering your language and currency. Measurement — anonymous counts that tell us which pages are read and which are skimmed. Courtesy — allowing video and sharing features to work with our partners.
Essential cookies fade the moment you close your browser. Preference cookies rest for up to a year. Measurement cookies quietly dissolve within twenty-four months. Courtesy cookies seldom last beyond thirty days.
Never. Nothing we leave on your device is sold, rented, or traded — not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone. The ledger is ours to keep, and yours to erase.
03 · When Others Are Present
A few do. Our measurement is done through a private analytics service, our payments through secure banking partners, and our videos through a global streaming platform. Each sets its own quiet trace, and each answers to its own, equally strict, privacy promises.
Yes. Any non-essential trace — ours or theirs — may be refused. When you decline, the partners involved are simply told to place nothing. Some features, such as embedded films or map previews, may then decline to appear.
No. We do not run advertising on this site, and we do not allow advertising networks to place their trackers on your device through us. If you see our name elsewhere online, it is because we placed it there ourselves.
04 · The Quiet Hand
Three gentle ways. Inside your browser — open settings, find the privacy section, and ask it to clear cookies and site data. At our footer — use our preference centre to withdraw consent, and future traces will simply not be placed. By letter — write to our curator, and we will confirm the quiet erasure on our side as well.
The site will still open, the pages will still read, and you may still write to us. Only the essential traces will remain, because they are the very thing that allows the door to open. Nothing else will be kept.
Write to [email protected] and your letter will reach our curator of information directly. A person, not a portal, will read your words — and a person will answer.
If you would rather we left nothing at all, we will understand entirely. Write to us, and we will show you how to close every quiet trace — leaving you with nothing but the pages themselves.
